My Brother’s Keeper
My Brother’s Keeper is a searing exploration of family, identity, and the scars of the past. When estranged brothers Carius and Demetrius reunite for their uncle’s funeral, years of betrayal and unspoken truths come roaring to the surface. Carius has built a hard-won peace, living authentically as a gay Black man far from his Southern projects upbringing. But his sanctuary crumbles as Demetrius wrestles with resentment as their mother, Denise. struggles to hold the family together. With humor and raw emotion, My Brother’s Keeper asks: Can you truly escape the past, or must you confront it to heal?
